Touch a Life — If Not Lives

 Sadhguru, in My Words

Jaggi Vasudev, better known to the world as Sadhguru. It is not just a name; he is a journey. A transformation. A living example of aligning self with a universal purpose.

Born in a serene Indian town, Mysore, Karnataka, he studied literature and led what seemed an ordinary life: a biking enthusiast, yoga practitioner, and family man. Yet, beneath the surface, he was driven by a restless quest to understand the unknown. A seeker by spirit, not just by speech.

He often rode to Nandi Hills, not for leisure, but in search of something deeper, where silence spoke louder than words. It was here that something began to shift. His body and mind changed. He wasn’t just looking for peace, he was uncovering purpose.

In meditative stillness, fleeting moments of transcendence began to grow deeper, more profound. He realized: we are not separate from the universe — we are it. This became the foundation of his transformation.

From Jaggi Vasudev emerged Sadhguru.  It is not a title. It is a state of being.

With this awakening came responsibility. The insight wasn’t his to keep. In 1992, he founded Isha Foundation in Coimbatore.  A space for seekers to pursue inner engineering and self-realization.

From long bike rides and silent reflection to global transformation and impact, his journey is a full circle from quest to discovery, and self-transformation to surrender for the service of humankind.

Heroes don’t always wear capes. Some ride bikes, sit in silence, and touch lives with wisdom.

So, I ask myself, as you might too: Can I transform myself? Can I touch a life? Transform it? One, if not many?
